Hockey Canada U-14 Goaltender Development Program

Hockey Canada is proud to partner with the Ontario Hockey Federation and Ontario Hockey League to introduce High Performance Goaltending Development Camps around the country.

These camps are designed to introduce the U-14 goaltender to the skills, concepts, and techniques of the Hockey Canada Program of Excellence Goaltending Program.

The camp will admit 36, 2005 birth year goaltenders to experience the program under the guidance of Hockey Canada, Provincial Branch, and CHL experts and consultants.

The curriculum and design of the camp is created by Hockey Canada's High Performance Goaltending Advisory Group to introduce young goaltenders to high performance concepts and an introduction to the Program of Excellence.

The only camp being offered in Ontario in 2019 is set to take place on Saturday, April 27, 2019 & Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the Activa Sportsplex in Kitchener, ON. This camp will be open to all 2005-born goaltenders currently in their Minor Bantam year (preference will be given to those currently playing AAA).

Hockey Canada U-14 Goaltender Development Program Application

Each day consists of two on-ice sessions led by Hockey Canada and Branch Personnel and three off-ice sessions focused on mental prep, proper warm-up and cool-down procedures, and an Introduction to the Hockey Canada Program of Excellence.
